Practicing Clinicians Exchange e-Clinic Interactive Case Studies for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
The following e-Clinic activity is part of a series of e-Cases developed specifically to hone your diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making skills. Each case study has been structured to improve your clinical skills as you navigate through decision points, weighing the patient’s specific presentation and history before deciding upon the best clinical course. You will be able to benchmark your answers along with your NP and PA colleagues in real time.
This section is approved for 1.0 CE/CME credit.

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants
Program Objectives
- Review recent clinical study results and guidelines and their application in primary care
- Examine the latest diagnostic and treatment strategies for common conditions encountered in the primary care setting
- Apply new data to clinical case reports to enhance practice performance and improve patient outcomes
Accreditation Information
The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing Continuing Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This activity is provided for 7.0 contact hours under ANCC criteria.
This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 7.0 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Approval is valid for 1 year from the issue date of March 29, 2012. Participants may submit the self-assessment at any time during that period.
