Symposia Series and Oncology Conferences
PCE holds three Symposia Series and one Oncology Conference Series per year, and registration information typically becomes available 6-8 weeks before each meeting.
For the PCE Symposia Series, go to our home page at www.practicingclinicians.com and select the city for the meeting you wish to attend. For the PCE Oncology Conferences, go to www.practicingclinicians.com/oncology/. You must have an email address to register. Once you are registered, you will receive a series of reminder and confirmation emails with pertinent information regarding location, parking, agenda, and number of credits.
I'm not sure if I have registered and I couldn't find a confirmation email. How do I find out if I’m already registered?
Check through all the folders in your email account, as our emails are sometimes misdirected to “Spam/Junk” folders. If you register with a government email address (ie, va.gov, .gov, or any state email address), our emails will most likely be blocked. This is easily addressed by using or creating a free personal email account through such providers as Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, or Yahoo. Make sure to add email@example.com to your safe senders list.
If you wish to confirm that you are registered, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and include your first and last name, the email address you used to register, and the meeting city you registered for. We will reply within 1-2 business days.
When I received my confirmation email, I accidentally indicated that I would not attend. However, I would like to attend. What should I do?
Re-register for the meeting you plan to attend. If you receive an alert that there is a waiting list, please contact us at email@example.com and indicate that you wish to re-register. We will reply within 1-2 business days.
What if I don't have an email address?
An email address is required for registration. If you do not have one, you can create one for free through such providers as Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, or Yahoo. Make sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe senders list.
How much do PCE meetings cost?
There is no cost for attending any PCE symposium or conference. Continuing education credits and meals are provided free of charge.
How many credits are offered for attending a meeting? Are there any pharmacology credits?
The number of credits, including pharmacology credits, is different for each meeting. Please refer to the Accreditation section of the meeting information page for the symposium or conference you wish to attend.
Can I earn additional credits for attending more than one meeting in a series?
No, you may only earn credits for one meeting per series. The same topics are presented at each symposium or conference within a series. However, additional credits are available for enduring materials (home studies) posted on our website.
Must you be an NP or PA to attend?
Preferably yes, as these meetings are meant to provide NPs and PAs with continuing education needed for recertification. Continuing education credits are provided by the ANCC for NPs and by the AAPA for PAs.
If I am an NP certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), can I get credit for activities provided by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Medical Association (AMA)?
Yes. The AANP Certification Board accepts credits from numerous continuing education providers, including the ANCC and the AMA. Likewise, the ANCC accepts credits from the AANP and the AMA.
Are there any discounts for rooms if I stay at the host hotel?
PCE does not offer a blocked room rate or discounts if you choose to stay at the hotel where a meeting is being held.
What time does the meeting start, and what topics will be presented?
An agenda with times and topics is posted on www.practicingclinicians.com about 2-3 months before the first meeting of a series.
Where can I find the materials/slides for an upcoming meeting?
If you are registered for a meeting, a link to the presentation slides will be sent to your registration email address 2-3 days before the meeting. Slides will be available in both mobile-friendly and printer-friendly formats. Other meeting materials, such as drug lists, may also be available. Materials are available for 1 week following each meeting.

PCE Meeting Certificates
In order to receive CE/CME credit for a meeting, you must sign in at the registration desk onsite, attend one or more presentations, and complete and return the evaluation form you are given. You may only claim credit for the presentations you attend.
When will I receive my CE/CME certificate?
Certificates become available online 6-8 weeks after a meeting. A notification with download instructions will be sent to the email address you used to register for the meeting. Be sure to add email@example.com as a safe sender for your email account and check your “Spam/Junk” folder if you do not see a notification after 6-8 weeks.
How do I download my certificate from the PCE website?
Please log in at www.practicingclinicians.com/testing to view your profile and available certificates. If you can't remember your password, click the “Forgot Your Password?” link and follow the instructions on the page.
I still haven’t received/cannot find my certificate from a meeting I attended. How can I get a new copy?
If a certificate is not available for download on your PCE profile after 6-8 weeks, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate your name, the meeting you attended, the email address you used to register for the meeting, and the name of the presentation for which you need a certificate. We will respond within 1-2 business days.
You must receive a passing score on the post-test in order to receive a certificate. If you did not receive a passing score, you may retake the post-test until you pass.
How do I get my certificate for an activity I have completed?
Please log into your PCE account at www.practicingclinicians.com/testing. Your certificates can be viewed and printed from your profile page.
I’ve forgotten my password that I used to create my PCE account. How can I reset it so I can gain access to my profile again?
Go to www.practicingclinicians.com/testing and click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link and follow the instructions on the page.
